The Give a Day Get a Day Town and Country project was a huge success. We had over 90 volunteers from all over Georgia come to help the Community of Town and Country. We had a 'free' garage sale for the residents. A dead tree was cut down and hauled away. We pruned hedges, painted porches, hauled debris away. Each family received a large bag of food. Lunch was served to all the residents and volunteers.
The next Give a Day Get a Day project is scheduled for 2/20/2010 at Compton Elementary School From 9:00 - 5:00. We will be landscaping and painting the hallways. This project will be posted on the www.disneparks.com website on 2/1 at noon. If you are interested in signing up for this project - mark your calendar - the projects fill up fast.
